Gash Poem by Britt Veloso

Gash

Frothy windows and dead bolted doors
I wish I were outside
I wish I were yours

Too much has happened
I now see the floor
No way to get up
I need to reach forth

Inside a cloud, outside a sky
If only I could just die
There's no luck to be found
I might as well drown

I wish I were outside
I wish I were yours
I wish you made love
Instead it's a chore

Inside a car with no wipers
If only this rain could decipher
There's no fun left in this place
I'm just wasting space

I wish I were outside
I wish I were yours
I wish you played fair
But all's a game in love and war
