Games We Play Poem by Camille Jones

Games We Play

year after year
all theses games you’ve play
I now have to stop
I know its been fun
but I can’t take anymore
theses years have pass by so fast
but now they will turn no more
with this blade that now rests in my hand
I will end this funny game
I will tell none that the end is near
but they will all laugh
at the sight of the ending
I bring this blade close to my heart
like I have done so many times before
but this time it will be closer than it ever has
with these pill and this blade
I will have the last laugh
I write my final lines
my final thoughts
I know laughter covers my pain
but this time it will be true
no more yelling or crying
no more trying to control me
I will final be free
and as for you my love
I’m sorry are game has had to end so soon
but I love thee to much
that this game must be short
this way I will remember this game as fun
not pain
I have become this puppet
that can no longer dance
everything I have every believed in has failed me by now
all that is left are theses tears
and these scars
