Game Of Life Poem by Steffi Webster

Game Of Life

With flippant shadows and teasing smiles
Beguile the love of dreaming traps
That snips and snaps at the
Frivolous moon dance to entrance
The glow of the ebb and flow
Of lives that move with
Threatening reckoning.
Flip and fly we live and
Let die with kisses and
Hisses the constant clamour
The fight for total unyielding
Glamour with fire and pyre
To never tire in light and
In dark. Solemnity and
Morbid grief slipped
Aside through game of pride
Slide and glide to mine own side.
But to win then you must sin.
Gamble your soul in a game
Of snap snick, trap, trick
