Frozen In Summer Poem by Unwritten Soul

Frozen In Summer

Rating: 4.2

Last December wore me white
On my back it laid snow
Made my heart entirely cold

Sunlight cant spell warm on my back
I was lied with hopeful shine it reflects
Believing the fire will break the ice
Perhaps, the sun shy hiding behind white clouds
Whispering another spell in form of thunders
Blazoned arrows may hit break the ground
Still not warm on my back

This skin, summer never lay
I still keep frozen in May
Like a touch from heaven
Magical seems it's happened
Warm travel on skin i felt
As if north ice to melt

In my center heart, your name reside
Frozen outside gone by warmer inside
Honest meets respect, they collide
Because friend like you beside

In this summer we meet
water a seed of friendship with greet
Love cared by the honest sight
Silent the words from fight
then it glows like stars at night

Soul, there is great depth here. You remind me that things can seem frozen for an eternity, or seemingly for just that long. But then when movement takes hold, the advance can be sudden and overwhelming. Like summer, there are things that do not creep up on us. They explode in a flash, a passion, a moment. Well done, Soul!

Wonderful poem and a great read, friends can make the coldest days warm and loneliness can make summer feel like an ice age.

Friendship, it appears, is your favorite theme. Here, as in all your work on the subject, you more than do it justice. Memorable, Soul!
