From The Earth A Statue Of Ganesha Found
From the mound
Of the earth
A statue of Ganesha,
Siddhidayak Vinayaka
Emerging,
A Ganesha
Reddish and pink
Or vermillioned brown,
Grey
From the mound
Lying earthed for
And the people looking up
In wonder and amazement
The mythical idol
With the elephantine trunk
But in a human form.
