Friendship Poem by Paul Britton

Friendship

Friendship comes and friendship goes,
Like a rose that withers and a rose that grows,
Unlike ours that will continue to blossom,
From winter to spring to summer and autumn,
In years gone by and years to follow,
Let us relax and let us wallow,
We shall sing and dance with joy,
Don't you act all shy and coy,
In this life and the next,
This is no sacred text,
For I speak from the heart,
We stay together and never apart.
