Fortune Cookie Poem by Karl Newton

Fortune Cookie

Yesterday's fortune cookie
A future foretold
A predication
Big and bold

Any decision you make tomorrow, is a good decision
Is what it read
From the moment I rolled out of bed
It could not be any less true

A day to make the brightest of skies
A deep shade of gloomy blue
Causing a trail of destruction
With everything I do

Everything that could go wrong
Has gone wrong
Makes me the opposite of strong
A day which feels more than 24 hours
Long

Last year's fortune cookie
A future foretold
A predication
Big and bold

A love so strong and dear will walk back into your life
How true it was
In she flew
The only love I ever knew
With feeling that only grew
Despite the absence of a year or two
She is the one I love
Through and Through
And am devoted
To
