Forgive Me This Is What I Had To Say Poem by Iris Mista

Forgive Me This Is What I Had To Say

Come and meet my enemy
know its face is only me
I hurt in constant pain
every day it is the same
They promised it would change
but other than in a small range
it does not get any better
much more stable than the weather
God I am in constant hurt
never that releasing word
I blame myself for being so
self hatred is the me I know
for I can not let it stop
I can not find the way to strop
myself and turn it around
where love and peace can be found
I am a loser because I lost
forever I will be tossed
in the deepest darkest hell
with no stories of hope to tell
Yet I can not stop the longing
there is no place for my belonging
this is the core of all my soar
for my ship there will never be a shore
never from the ocean to the land
underneath my feet warm dry sand
I promised to do better today
forgive me this is what I had to say
