Forgive Me Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Forgive Me

Rating: 5.0

Forgive me

I wonder if I can
Can ever turn the night into day?
Can ever seek pardon of nation?
Can ever, can ever, can ever?

I wonder
In me died and faded the power
And they are dumb and deaf
Am not sure if I can; can ever?

Can I buy the peace of the pardon?

I deserve punishment for that day.

I was chief
Then I faced the mischief
Went to fight and felt failed
Then went home and never…
No never…
Never went back there;
No, never I returned…

My absence gave power to Devil…

I am cause of collapse, misery
This messy government is of me
I dug hole…
In it they inserted their columns…

Oh please, pardon me!

Soon I will die and go
Ay people of Iran
Ay people of the lands I have been,
Forgive me for wrong done.

I should have stayed there
Right or wrong
I should have resisted
Right there, then, live or dead,
I should have known mullahs!
