For You Poem by Pete Rivera

For You

Rating: 5.0

During the winter of lore
My heart revealed its core
It revealed every point and truth
And I opened my heart for you

You speak but noone listens
Only I notice you shine and glisten
What I would do to set you free
Free from all your insecurity

In the light you shine
You stand beyond the fabric of time
You draw your boundary with many a line
But you don't know what I'd do to call you mine

As I wait in the cold rain
What I would do to ease your pain
Calm your mind if you wish to start
A life that comes from within your heart

In the light you shine
You stand beyond the fabric of time
You draw your boundary with many a line
But you don't know what I'd do to call you mine

Put your trust in me
I will set you free
Give you all that you need
For it is love that I bleed
For you
I'll always be waiting for you
It's true
I'll always be waiting for you
