For The Wall Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

For The Wall

For the wall

Left tree and came in
So, saved rest of coffee,
And tree, possibly
Is upset and cursing…

Everyday, in morning
Sitting in the balcony
Break fast with coffee,
Throw the remaining
Of drink to tree…

Today was different,
I did not act the same,
Drove me Lame Deer!

He took me everywhere
From the day of birth,
Through life, till today…

"To me young is wiser
Than an old who stayed
Between home and office
Nine to five…"
Said friend, a Jewish,
That always kept nagging.

He and Lame took me where
Most people keep away.

Lame and I, were devils,
And were nailed only when
Were assured, was confirmed
That elders would train…

Funny were their threats
Though in times caused terror,
Some of which have remained.

"He will come, steal you! Will ask him
To eat you! " To him said grandma
To me my brother, of a White, African!

We, both are the Natives
Engulfed and forced to leave.

Were forced by others' hands,
Into poi, fire fans…

Insulted and abused
Which, to us were schools.

We witnessed the funnels
In them birds with cut head.

Distanced was freedom
Right from time of birth
That meant life in a cage
Till their final moments
And silenced in funnel…

His fathers killed Custer,
Mine witnessed: "Shah has left! "

We know of slogans
On papers and on walls
With tears of old, young.

Our cultures saw mankind
As a single tribe
Rich with the uncles, aunts.

Both of us are men who
Dislike walls, barriers.

He and I were charcoal
Spanned round in a case
By a dumb cruel head
Till became fire, flame!

Thanks to that, he, and I
Keep shouting and cry
Against the injustice
Of the rulers at top:
"Death to the criminals! "

I feel you. If injustices meted out by coloniser were made of bricks Donald Trump could build a wall around the US and even on the border with Canada. Fortunaty life is a wave and nothing remains the same. The first shall be last.
