I never got
to say goodbye
To my little sister
the twinkle of my eye

My spirit lives on
inside your heart
Pat, I've loved you
from the very start

I've watched you grow
held you in my arms
I did my best
to protect you from harm

You blossomed into a beauty
so full of life
So sorry I left
in the dark of night

I didn't mean
to go so fast
My body was tired
I just couldn't last

So don't be sad
because I'm gone
Think of better times
when the day was long

Think of the joy
you've brought to me
All the things
we got to see

I've gone to join
others we love
But I'm always here
