For My Grandfather Poem by Jessica Thomas

For My Grandfather

Rating: 5.0

I miss you so much
I wish I could’ve been there
I wish I could’ve seen you
I wanted to say goodbye
I want to tell you that I love you again
And that I wish I’d spent more time with you
It hurts because of that last time
I only stayed a few little minutes
But I let you know that I loved you
I want to show you what you meant to me
Instead I have to write you this
To express how I feel
Tell you how sad I am
Grandpa, you were such an inspiration
To me you were the greatest person
You gave me faith and rescued me out
We shared so many wonderful memories
I’ll never forget you calling me your Peaches
Or the way you loved your vapor rub
I will always be missing a part of me
You were the most important part of my life
Don’t ever worry because I’ll never forget
I’ll go to school and live the good way
I know you’re proud either way it goes
I promise I’ll be proud of myself
I miss you beyond a lot
But I know one thing’s is for sure
I’ve got one hell of an angel watching over me

Wonderful tribute to your grandfather. I only knew one of mine, and one grandmother, on the other side of the family.
