Strength And Peace Poem by Jessica Thomas

Strength And Peace

I heard the words a long time ago
And to this world I'll unfold
Something inside me gives me the words
To pick up my pieces and wield my sword
Sometimes it's hard to tell the truth
And hide the venom of my youth
Once innocence is lost
Learn life's lessons but at what cost?
Hopes and dreams scattered across the way
And the strength to fight doesn't come yet another day
I hope to again feel the passion
Though I'd be considered old-fasion
I want the peace that I deserve
And not be shaken or on nerve
Get away from the noice and the stress
And figure out for me what's truly best.
