Flowers In The Snow Poem by Yasmin Khan

Flowers In The Snow

Rating: 5.0

In the dead of night when silence reigns
Among dancing flames his kind face smiles
Lily white beard circling chin, eyes so deep
Love’s warmth defies iciness of death
That chills the soul, frozen breaths, eyelids
Closely shut, still body bears no sign of life!

Blossoms of memories rise from the snow
Bright blue, purple crocuses pushing through
Coldness of bereavement, reviving moments
Of love, of care, of endearment, tenderness all
Remain intact and come alive before the inward eye
Rendering bliss to the heart, conquering melancholy!

Let me convey my condolences Jasmeen! Am so touched by your poem! Even in the moment of this great bereavement, the sweet memories of his love remain warm and it melts the iciness of your heart! Those fond memories rise in your heart as fragrant and lovely blossoms! A great tribute to your father!
