Flood Thieves >>> Poem by Manonton Dalan

Flood Thieves >>>

I am standing on bridge
watching logs, trees drift
in giant whirling machine
mud, dirt, trash thrashing
can't imagine force of nature
when passing through narrow
outlet, it tears everything
yes, even bridge am standing

yet there people who jumps
to recover things of value
pigs, chicken, ducks, cows
that are being carried away
what a risk they have through
I don't know, if it is greed
that drives them to pursue
I value my life more than those

Great hidden message. There are many valuable things that man should pursue for life is too short. Yet we find people making fruitless chase to pile up so called precious things out of greed & thereby failing to fulfill the very purpose of life. Great poetry!
