Floater Friend Poem by Katrina Lusk

Floater Friend

Taking a bath my brother and I,
when out of the blue…
A lonesome floater passed us by.
He was just a brown little log,
surely not meaning us any harm.
But the smell he put off,
caused such an alarm.
My brother screamed and grabbed his toys,
jumping out of the tub with such a great noise.
My mommy swooped in to see what was the matter.
When she peeked in the tub,
she took me out with such a clatter.
She began to laugh at the sight of my little floater friend.
I was just having some fun.
Why did bath time have to end?
