Breathing
We all endure troubles in this life,
but we move on.
Knowing that there will be strife,
some things are bound to go wrong.
You never know,
what tomorrow may be bringing.
So just remind yourself,
you must keep breathing.
He was (is?) a Professor of Linguistics. He used to frequently use the phrase 'keep on keeping on' to inspire readers and poets. Sadly, the last poem that he contributed to this site was on September 17,2014, titled 'Vae Victis! &Quot; '. After that, I haven't heard of him or read his poems any more, anywhere.
An inspiring poem that helps us 'keep on keeping on'! As I say that, I remember a very dear poet of mine, Lento Maez, about whom poet Sandra Feldman remarked: A man of kindness and sweetness, with great sensitivity, translated into poetry.
