Fix Your Eyes Poem by Kevin Cox

Fix Your Eyes

Fix your eyes
Upon the Son.
For in Him
The victory's won.

Save for Him
The choicest piece.
In His arms
Find sweet release.

Tho toil and sweat
Do fill each day,
Don't from the Father
Ever stray.

Cultivate
a heart of joy.
Be unto Him
a little boy.

When each night
You kneel to pray,
Ask forgiveness
If thou didst stray.

Then when morning
Bursteth forth.
Look high and low
From south to north.

For another
Who is lost.
Explain to him
About the cross.

Tell him of
God's majesty
To vile sinners
Now set free.

Sooner than
You'll ever know.
Twill be time
For you to go.

May you hear
This from God's Son;
You did well
My faithful one.

Then for all
Ages to come,
All shall praise Him,
Every one.

Occupied with joy so as not to think of the shortness of life
