First Generation Baader-Meinhof Poem by Kevin Condron

First Generation Baader-Meinhof

Tortured years of living hell
Isolated in a cell
Never knowing day from night
Always artificial light

Then allowed to share a pen
Living as a battery hen
And so the world is watching you
Existance in a private zoo

Awaiting trial, awaiting fate
Behind the Steel of Stammheim`s gate
Because you fought to let them know
Vietnam was no TV show

Then we found that you were dead
Hanged or shot behind the head
Punishment or suicide
Behind the state, the truth will hide

1980, K.Condron
