Fired, Yes Fired Poem by Hebert Logerie

Fired, Yes Fired

I have been hired
And of course fired
A dimwit once told me
But I did laugh hysterically
Profusely like a peacock
Instead of throwing a rock.

Fired, yes fired. He got fired
He must be feeling sick and tired
Humility is a divine gift
In times of despair, it's noble to lift
Someone's spirit, even a foe's spirit
That's a sign of class, piety and merit.
