Fences Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Fences

Fences

It seemed fences abounded everywhere.
They abounded anywhere.
I looked here and saw a fence.
I looked there and bumped into a fence.

But one day I saw your smiling face.
This day was going to be special.
To this day
No fence came up in our hearts.
