Fence
i know some fences
one works to keep you away
another lures you
stealing your moral high ground
while steeling your bank account
(cont.) 2 - you are using Poetic License to mean strengthen as steel is a strong metal. i think this is the 'fence' you mean who lures you from a morally 'correct' path: " 4 a: a receiver of stolen goods b: a place where stolen goods are bought" to MyPoemList, despite its masked message. bri :)

M.J. your profound poem is so timely! As with all of your poems, they are craftily multi-layered. Fencing in and fencing out. Keeping Americans in. And keeping certain ones out. Stealing whatever moral high ground he had and greatly improving the economy. The Christmas one is quite obvious! And I could find a few more. But I'll leave that for another time.
