Joy Poem by M.J. Lemon

Joy

Rating: 5.0

As certain as sunrise
or flooding after rains
Or arrests after rallies
or waking after sleep
that may be deep
though not replete
with eternity

Like a harvest of ice
a plethora in a trice
Like boulders of vapour
all written on paper
might fade faster than
we can perceive

That one unique moment
where life truly is lived
Arrives, and we receive
or not, then regret
a joy we cannot conceive...

Melvina, Thank you so much. And yes, this was spoken first, and then written. I remember the editing took so long. Thank you so much for reading.

It's sad when we miss the Joy that's in each moment!
