Fear! Unending To Feel It Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fear! Unending To Feel It

When wishing a harm,
Comes done to others.
People who wish this to want,
Are seldom concerned...
But should be.
As to when, where and how,
That harm wished to want...
On others done.
Comes to them.
With an unending fear,
To feel 'and' anticipate it!

'Honey, I'm home.
Where are you? '

-Who are you? -

'Huh? Who. What?
Remember me?
The one you sleep with.
Washes the dishes.
Clothes.
Cooks the food.
And cleans up around here.
Pays the bills.
And...
Has the keys to this place.
We both have lived in,
For most of our adult lives.
Now...
Stop playing around.
Where are you?
I'm in no mood,
To play with you these games.
Are you going through,
A 3rd childhood? '

'What other proof do you have?
I mean...
Can you show me,
A valid I.D.? '

'Oh...okay.
You want proof? '

-Yes!
I demand it! -

'De-What?
DEMAND?
If you don't appear in here,
In seconds.
I will 'demand'...
Our joint banking accounts,
Credit cards and recent loans...
Be cancelled.
Immediately.
Done to leave you,
With nothing!
Even 'Fluffy' the cat,
Will agree with that! '

-Please. Please,
Don't take Fluffy! -
Here I am! -

'What in the World,
Is the matter with you? '

-I told the neighbors,
What they could kiss.
After we had that argument,
Early this morning.
About you not having time,
Of finding it.
For a few minutes to have sex! -

'And...
How did the neighbors,
Get involved? '

-They said my shouting,
Destroyed the sex,
They were having.
And came over here,
All upset about it.-

'How many times,
Have I told you...
2 minutes of sex,
Is not love making.
So...
What did the neighbors do? '

-They threatened me.
And said...
They were going to videotape,
Me begging you.
Then make copies of it,
To give to the other neighbors! -

'That is so childish.
And certainly nothing,
To fear.
Or feel threatened about.
To cause you to hide.'

-Well...
When they came over,
To then tell them...
What it was they could kiss.
I was standing outside...
Not to realize I was butt naked.
And Fluffy saw this.
Looked me up and down.
Then walked away disgusted.
After that...
I felt too embarrased.
To face anyone.
That's why I was hiding.-

'From ME? '

-Not necessarily.
Fluffy is the one.
That cat is so smart.
I fear the unexpected.
Too much she has tolerated,
Over the years! -

'And me?
What about me? '

'Fluffy has proven,
To be faithful, loyal and honest! '
