Fear Law Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Fear Law

Fear law

Fearsome is word "Law"
Followed by the legal, illegal,
"Permitted, " being "Allowed, "
And "Do not, " being "Barred! "

Those who dare to object,
Verify, ask questions:
"By whom, how, " maybe "Why, "
Are random, risk their lives.

I know this as expert,
Due to it I have lost
Birthplace and culture.

Surely, law poisons my breath,
My life is broken and shattered
By losing family and friends.

Want to shout, once again,
Obey the sacred law of police,
Handcuff me and put in a jail
Or follow laws in books,
Put a knee on throat till I die…

I have lived my long life,
No fear, readily embrace
A known, unknown, grave.

I bow and invite you
Please come to join me
Flying world around
To Europe, Asia, America!

Look at the Belarus, Manilla,
Brazil, Venezuela
USA and most of Africa
And Iran, Saudi Arabia
To Beirut, Afghanistan,
Mexico, Syria,
Look at signs and hear slogans:
"Governments, leave us alone! "
