Fault In My Stars Poem by NAMAN SEHGAL

Fault In My Stars

A rift in my mind, maybe fault in my stars,
Two parallel thoughts, like racing cars,
Should i hold back or just try hard,
No signs on this road, near or far.

I did a lot, I did with my heart,
Grinds, hustles, requests and asks,
Each time I heal, there's another scar,
One blow after another, straight to the heart.

Makes you think, is it that big of an ask,
A few moments spared, maybe a few hours,
Just asking for a chance, a try is all I ask,
I know it will work, dare give it a chance.

Wish I could tell you how much it pains,
One after another, efforts in vain,
Every time it happens, it breaks my heart,
But then again, I know it's not the last.

I make up my mind, but never my heart,
It wants another try, maybe another scar,
Two sides of the rift, just getting far,
Maybe the fault is in my stars.

This is not a very extraordinary situation to come across. It has been portrayed quite nicely but the poem thankfully ends on an optimistic note. Thanks, Naman. A rift in my mind, maybe fault in my stars, Each time I heal, there's another scar, One blow after another, straight to the heart.

Thank you so much for the feedback Ranjish. I'm too positive a person to not have an optimistic ending. :) Would really appreciate if you could review my other works as well.
