Fate Poem by Victoria Tori

Fate

Fate gave me a wonderful gift
And i love him so much.
I'm brave enough to admit
That i'm vulnerable now.
I know that she'll strike
Soon, now that i'm weak.
She's playing with me,
Messing with my head.

Fate is deadly,
A mean thing, she is.
You know very well what
She does, her game.
Messing with people,
Their lives and emotions.
Tearing their hearts apart.
Lavishing in their pain.

She gives you a gift,
Gives you want you desire.
You know she'll take it away
Right when your vulnerable.
The first couple days
With your gift,
your on your gaurd,
Not letting yourself love the gift.
Knowing that you'll get hurt
If you do, but you
Can't help it.
Its want you wanted,
What you desired.
You thank fate everyday for the gift.
Each day your gaurd falls lower
Without you knowing.
Then one day your gaurd is gone,
And she strikes.
Taking your gift away,
Leaving you crying in pain.
Your mad at her for hurting you
But you hate yourself
Because you knew right from
The beginning, what would happen.
You knew, but you failed to protect
Yourself from her.

I knew from the beginning what
Would happen to me.
I tried to keep from falling in love
With the gift she gave me,
But I failed.
I’m glad I fell for him
But each day goes by
That my heart aches
Because I fear that fate will
Take him away from me.
Leaving me to die of heart break.
I can’t help but think of a
Million ways that she’ll take him.
I know that some day soon it’ll
Happen but I don’t know when,
It kills me knowing this.
She’s playing with me.
But I can’t help but
Thank her for giving me
Such a wonderful bf
