Fat John Poem by Randy McClave

Fat John

Though indeed you are truly fat
But, unto you I would tip a 10 gallon hat,
You still try to stay in decent shape
While trying to lose your enormous gape.
Know this, if you were not my large friend
These insults to you I would not ever send,
I would not make remarks about your size
That always catches mine and everyone else's eyes.
Though truly I make fun of your weight
But, those remarks are never made from hate,
They are given with a snicker and a smile
And never from hatred, or even from guile.
I will say this to you once again
Even though you're the size of two large men,
Your heart is also twice as big
On that statement, I will not ever renege.
God of course made you for a reason
Unto him you are obedient, faithful in every season,
Now when I think of you after my many pokes
I now understand this, God created awesome jokes.
