Fascination Number Eight Poem by Shelby Barker

Fascination Number Eight

Rating: 5.0

What one can see into -
the future? they claim…
the past? oh, Seraph insists…
Lovers see cascades in the light of each other
flowing to and fro another
the waves of humanity providing
diverse colours
in these circular falls of infinite water.
The kaleidoscope droplets, which
the currents push to the blackest abyss, which
one can see in, too -
despite the darkness the crevice…
holds the lightest among the darkest, of memories…
Lovers see the dilution in each other’s presence
lasting just a split second
the pull of excitement eager, convincing
an intense essence
to reveal the secrets of its great blessing.
They urge silently, to
stay moist and not have to close…
Don’t look away, there’s nothing there.
Don’t look away, there’s nothing there.
What one can see into -
what one can see in two.
