Fart Against Thunder Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Fart Against Thunder

Fart against thunder

Not Eiffel is lengthy, nor CN
Not even four of them united
Taller or the tallest of towers.

In old days for necklace
Men of pearl sent divers
Deep in sea, far deeper
Persian Gulf, in Bahrain

Poisoned with trash
Thanks to them
Nature died…

Today’s men and machines
Dig deep holes, many caves
Man’s greed, carved, remains
Wants the past pearl necklace.

Unwashed, are, patch of frost.
The workers when they come
Seemingly leopard on a march
Look at them joke, walk, talk.

Descended miles and miles
In search for their lost ones.

Mother earth held their love
secretly for ages of the dark.
Mother-care turned carbons,
too tough, hard as diamonds.

Cutting the trees we hold saw,
The same branch we sit on…
Brainless, dumb and sick
Are we men ‘fart in wind’?
