Far From Day Poem by Berkeley B

Far From Day

The azure space of sky soon fades away
I slowly lock my eyes, dulled by dismay
Now wishing for a land that's far from day
Dreamy songs and sounds may guide my way

Now bathed in sunlight of another realm
The clutch of strife evolves into delight
Enticing smells of wonders overwhelm
Marauders scouring the dreadful night

Though soon the inky void becomes a veil
The luster of salvation never gleams
My grieving tries amount to no avail
To save the cloudless sky that is my dream

And when the fantasy opens a way
My eyes snap open to a dreadful day

Beautiful narrative piece of poetry depicting sweet peaceful night dream, well articulated and elegantly penned in lovely rhyme scheme from heart with connvicction. An insightful poem in good diction. Thanks for sharing Berkeley. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
