Facing The Truth Poem by Iris Mista

Facing The Truth

There has to be a day
of facing the truth
I know what it will say
a house without a roof

The burning hot sun
all the pouring rain
the lightening does run
right through the vein

There is no way to live
without being kept alive
an endless stream to give
can not be the strive

One day it has to end
I know it can not last
words to my soul sent
it fades away too fast

A heart already dead
a constant CPR
blood still warm and red
without, soon a star

I have to look at this
right into the eye
it was the purest bliss
until the day I die
