Fable Poem by Amanda Miller

Fable

Rating: 3.8

A trophy won,
A feign smile.
A congrats in order,
But wait awhile.

Life goes on.
With no change.
A concealed tear,
With no range.

Cried on pillow,
Dark vacant eyes.
Words with no meaning,
Simply oathful lies.

Life's no hope.
Lost years irrevocable.
Happyness is deception.
Fullfillment-a fable.

Amanda from Alabama, a pleasure to read such sorrowful but good work. there may be hope left yet, but that in itself is the assumption that hope ever was. - Nkuja
