Extravagant Displays Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Extravagant Displays

Such extravagant displays,
Of an array and wealth...
An ignorance presented,
Given centerstage these days.
And representing the interests,
Of the people who perceive...
Themselves to be,
The thunder.
The lightening.
The air to breathe.
And used as the blueprint,
Their ancestors gave to God.
With instructions who should rule,
Over all humanity.
Oh...
The consequences to be paid,
For top-notch, grade 'A' stupidity!
