Existential Crisis? Poem by Dua Qadeer

Existential Crisis?

Rating: 5.0

From the stars that dance across the sky,
To the caverns which glow under the night.
From the laughter painting the world,
To the sins that we invite.

What is the reason our cells divide?
The reason we giggle or cry?
The reason we dream without objectives?
And the reason we live just to die?

A test, like ones we take at school,
A never-ending pain with no intention,
With fatal mistakes that can't be corrected,
That usually would end up in detention.

It is an existential absurdity to conceive of life without difficulties. A well articulated piece of poetry nicely penned with insight. Thanks for sharing Dua.
