Dua Qadeer

Dua Qadeer Poems

From the stars that dance across the sky,
To the caverns which glow under the night.
From the laughter painting the world,
To the sins that we invite.
...

How many mistakes have you truly made?
With a frail conscience so strained,
How many wrongs do you truly regret?
Since your glass tongue was chained.
...

I stood there alone, staring at the scene,
While cold struck across the night,
I stood there alone, staring at the horror,
While my nerves and throat felt tight.
...

You're so naive and useless,
You trust without doubts in love,
You fall like water over the cliff,
You beg and you pray to the entity above.

Existential Crisis?

From the stars that dance across the sky,
To the caverns which glow under the night.
From the laughter painting the world,
To the sins that we invite.

What is the reason our cells divide?
The reason we giggle or cry?
The reason we dream without objectives?
And the reason we live just to die?

A test, like ones we take at school,
A never-ending pain with no intention,
With fatal mistakes that can't be corrected,
That usually would end up in detention.
