Excuses To Embrace You Poem by Hebert Logerie

Excuses To Embrace You

I don't know how to make up for more excuses or pretexts
To allure you, charm you, and embrace you, adorable Muse
This virus has degraded, altered our previous way of living
Now, there are other discourses in the books of wonder.

This morning, I'd like to be drunk listening to your songs
I would love to swim in your pond so blue and so deep
Frozen in embarrassment, I don't know how to imagine
Other reasons to ogle you and to cover you with kisses.

The roses have undoubtedly faded away. I'm in a dilemma
No longer at ease, I don't know how to say that I love you
This cursed, contagious, and fatal virus scares everyone.

Since thousands innocent people die every hour of the day
I feel that I can no longer live under the banner of uncertainty
Yet, I don't know how to make additional excuses to kiss you.
