Excerpt From A Confused Mind Poem by Brian Stafford

Excerpt From A Confused Mind

Rating: 5.0

Fractured thoughts, spiralling around a tainted spire;
Clusters of hope lie, scattered in the borrowed wasteland;
Depths of despair, plunging to uncharted territory;
Silhouettes of silence, marauding around a state of mind;
Countless forks in the road, of debatable origin;
Distant shards of light, in the disturbingly dark horizon;
Discarded dreams lie, all shattered and shorn;
Libraries of lies, infesting chapter and verse;
Misshapen memories, meander from fact to fiction.

Actually, what you describe here is a normal mind. Who hasn't experienced these same feelings at one time or another? This is what life does to us. We all deal with it in different ways, but we all go through it. A very well expressed poem.
