Even If Yesterday Looks Dark Like The Night Poem by Gert Strydom

Even If Yesterday Looks Dark Like The Night

(for Annelize)

This morning very early it's still a bit cold,
right here it's another sunny day,
as if not yet I can feel the heat
of another special morning,
of a day in which God does intend the very best,
even if the Satan comes today in his power
and all the yesterday's look dark as night
as if tears do want to wash everything away.
For you and me God do still stay in control,
where I want to begin every morning with you.
Where I know that you are precious
and nothing can stop this love between us,
it now fills each word and act and sentence,
where continually I miss you in my life.
