Can't you see me holding my breath
Waiting for the worst to come
Allowing sadness and despair to fill me up
Until nothing remains but darkness and mediocrity
Watching others move on while I'm left behind
Clinging foolishly to hope that will never exist
Becoming daily more resentful and angry
So frightened to fail again
