Empty Poem Poem by Iris Mista

Empty Poem

A song of lucid hope
I would love to write
A pure way to cope
A tune o so bright

A dance of the sweetest lightness
I would love to write
A pure way of brightness
for no one to hide

Blank lines of a staff
An empty silent song
No notes on my behalf
No tune to make strong

A poem so clearly true
I would love to write
To take away any woe
to enlighten all fright

All I have is an empty marker
And nothing but emptiness to write
The grating words of a barker
with vocal cords too tight
