Echoes Of A Silent Life Poem by Pablo Cruise

Echoes Of A Silent Life

Rating: 4.9

Within, within my pended self
To hold unto this absolute grey
The arc of life in concerned descent
Deep breaths unresolved in present decay
Of mind, of mind in thoughts I slave
To snatch the ring, unlock a door
Persistence the queer of suspicious complaint
To fear the idle to the floor
Questions, questions query
No answers with no reply
Each the words spin just beyond
Their semblance razed by weaker kind
So who? So why? So where are we?
The axis spins it’s ever need
This instance a constant foe
Showers now this sounded seed
Thump, thump that rhythmic rhyme
In silence its timbre crowds
To shake regret from where it’s been
Turns the volume way up loud
Beyond, beyond my conscience writhes
Seeks one reason, one advance
To reckon life in resolute
To stay these bones with half a chance
Myself, myself in whispers hush
With night the lead to wind this strife
Somewhere between my waken sleep
These echoes of a silent life

Personal struggles.. so many questions.. if we listen long enough silence seems to scream.. I enjoyed the way you penned this.. allowing the reader to wander through their own assumptions.. Wendy

Pablo, its our own thoughts that cause distress, our unhappiness you have illustrated this well. Why is a very good question. A thoughtful and worthwhile poem. Bob
