White Horse Poem by Pablo Cruise

White Horse

Rating: 5.0

White comes the horse
In my darkest need
Inside myself you beckon
Please, come take the lead
I listen for your coming
Keen is on my brow
Whole hearted anticipation
The yearn forever now
Together we will venture
To chase my mind surreal
The prick of your intention
By that cold invasive steel
The rush of your intemperance
Incorporator divine
Rhapsodies of the kaleidoscope
In speechless, weightless supine
I see you ever stoic
A focus never clear
The lure of you so tasty
Why do I tender fear?
Without you only problems
Why must you always leave?
My rides with you end empty
Set hollow, somewhat naïve
You do know I don’t need you
Convenience I will concede
One day I will end this whimsy
Control this idle deed
Next time will be the last
Before I become more tragic
The sear of your attraction
The marvel of your magic
White horse I hear your gallop
Your steam is on my nape
White horse forever chasing
What chance is my escape?

superb composition all through...the 'white horse' coming in the 'darkest need', the poem opens up with beautiful antithesis...you maintain the tempo in your write galloping till its end of ride...excellent work, Pablo...10+

Pablo, in silence we might find each other, fighting thoughts and things. Being present always is the way. It is an intriguing poem with questions we all should ask. Excellent write, Greenwolf was right. Bob 10/10

I can't believe this only has two comments. I just read a poem wih 47 comments that can't hold a candle to this one. This is one of the most finely written things that I have seen. You did a wonderful job. I'm going to vote for it. Perhaps that will encourage you to keep it on your list. GW62
