Earrings Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Earrings

Out of character, she wears
Earrings that dangle and sparkle,
Laughs loud and loves the grape
That frees her for awhile.
Frees her from her old age
From her fears;
From a life
That is slowly choking out the fun
That still lives in her head.
