Duel Between Dualities Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Duel Between Dualities

Fueled to duel,
Between dualities.
Few can excuse refusing,
Ever changing moods and attitudes.
All of us are born to have.
Yet expect others to accept,
What it is we go through.

With a doing to understand,
And comprehend.
Done without extending,
To another that same respect.
Wanting for ourselves,
An attention to get.

Demanding are our moods,
As they come with changing attitudes.
And no one should be responsible.
To acknowledge how we are.
With more patience to tolerate.
Than we are willing to give,
And express to others.
Without 'assuming'...
God created exceptions.

And...
If some should perceive,
Themselves to be exceptions.
This has yet been proven,
Scientifically!
We may have the ability,
To build between ourselves fences.
However...
Our moods and attitudes,
Have a way to be unblocked to stop!

"Sometimes I feel like a nut.
And other times I don't."

-And...
Sometimes I feel like a squirrel.
Disgusted by all the nuts I see.
None to show a variety.-
