My heart beats to a drum
A drum that no one hears
No one can ever understand
Understand the feelings
The feelings in my soul
My soul bleeds
And my soul shines
For you and you alone
I am alone in this world
A world that is cold
Cold and uncaring
My heart is shattering
Because I have no love
No love in my life
But then I see you
The one I love
Love with all my soul
And my eyes open
MY eyes open wide
And I see
I see that I am loved
Loved by you
Not as my lover
But like a step-brother
And it's all I've ever needed
Was someone to love me
To care about me
And accept me for who I am
MY family has barely cared
Except for a few
But you saw me
Saw me damaged
And still decided to care
I love you

You are my friend
My step-brother
My world
I am growing
Not the same as I used to be
