Drop By Drop Dew Falls

Drop by drop dew falls
From leaves and flowers
It hangs upon tip of grasses
In the morning's serene hours
Drop by drop dew falls to
Shine in the ray of the dawn
It lives for an hour or so till
Heat drops thick from the sun
Drop by drop dew falls to
Get sucked up by the soil
Its life ends in the wee hours
Without much pain or turmoil
