Drinks Poem by Alexander Foald

Drinks

Right after the soft evening
Happened just in one night
Walked out through that door
I saw her leaving the past

So cold but soberly awaken
These few drinks can’t give me enough
Clouds and blood takes longer to return
The time I can’t forget her remains

Someone ever said to me
That love was such an easy game to play
Did I hear it wrong,
Or maybe I’m having too much to dream of

And I know that time goes on
As this feeling no longer being turned on
I could barely hold the tears behind my eyes
Now that I found she left me for another guy
