Dreams



I have been sleeping
Dreaming all through
Closing my eyes
Against the odds
That tend to ruin my country
And denude
The beauty of my dreams.
Will the night ever lapses
To wipe these dreams
And make me
Wake up from my slumber
Clean the smudges in my eyes
And see that
My country has
Gotten It Right.
